Objective

This introductory training shows how Automotive SPICE® can be applied as an intacs® extension to improve processes in hardware development.

This intacs® certified Hardware SPICE® Assessor training provides a concise overview of Hardware SPICE®, which can be integrated via the Hardware Development Extension of Automotive SPICE®. The model enables the systematic development of automotive electronic hardware.

Participants benefit from the expertise of professionals directly involved in creating the Hardware Development Extension for Automotive SPICE®. A working group of the intacs® Assessor Cooperative developed the extension.

Training Content

  • Introduction to the hardware engineering processes for Automotive SPICE® 4.0
  • Positioning the hardware engineering processes within PAM 4.0
  • Details of the hardware engineering processes HWE.1–4, including the content of the VDA guidelines
  • System, management, and supporting processes in the context of hardware development
  • Hands-on exercise: conducting an assessment based on the Hardware SPICE® PRM/PAM

Target Audience

  • Individuals who want to conduct assessments covering the hardware engineering processes of Automotive SPICE®
  • Individuals who want to independently conduct assessments using the intacs® Hardware SPICE PAM/PRM

Prerequisites

  • Several years of professional experience in the industry (e.g., software/systems development, project management, quality management)
  • Completed intacs® certified Process Expert Automotive SPICE® training or at least intacs® certified Provisional Assessor status

Framework & Exam

  • Maximum of 12 participants per course
  • Participants who pass the exam receive a certificate of competence
  • Participants holding a base PAM certification (Process Expert, Provisional Assessor, Competent Assessor, Principal Assessor) receive an updated assessor card with an HWE designation
  • All materials are provided digitally (online and on-site)
